MANDALAY DIVISION – A bamboo rafter of Singu Township was killed as the fascist council’s flatboat in the Irrawaddy River fired weapons for no reason, locals reported.
On February 28, at about 7 a.m., the military group from Ywatharya Pyu Saw Htee militia Village towed a flat boat and fired heavy weapons and machine guns at the villages at the riverbank while sailing up towards Htogyi Village.
Terrorist junta thugs fired again in the afternoon, at around 4 p.m. when they returned after bringing food supplies from Htogyi Village. The rackless firing hit and killed bamboo rafter Mr. San Thu (42) from Inwa, a scout from the ground force said.
“The bamboo raft was anchored on Ayutthaya Island. The rafter was hit while he was hiding at the riverbank since he was afraid. Imprudent junta thugs were drunk and fired towards the villages at the riverbank for no reason,” commented a member of the ground force.
In addition, two cattle from Kyun-U and Ayetharya villages were reportedly killed by the junta army’s weapons.
Locals cried that due to reckless firing by the junta army, they had to flee for safety, not being able to harvest the crops they had planted, and causing losses.
Local revolutionary forces have alerted civilians to arrange bomb shelters for hiding as necessary.
