KACHIN STATE – A Kachin military source said that the Junta Council’s Infantry Battalion (141) near Sinbo, Myitkyina Township, Kachin State, was captured this evening.
After the KIA and coalition forces captured the town of Sinbo on February 10th, it started the attack of the Junta Council’s Infantry Battalion (141) near the town.
However, they were unable to capture it and continued to attack in March and April. It was said that finally, coalition forces were captured at 6:30 p.m. on April 28th.
“The enemy did not run away. They attacked and were annihilated,” said a military source on the capture of the Sinbo IB (141).
KIA re-offensive to seize the battalion and it captured the outpost on April 26th and captured another outpost on the 27th. It is said that the battalion headquarters was captured in the admissions of air support this evening and is currently still being cleared.
“The IB (141) is based on a hill overlooking the plains, so the strategy has changed and now it has been able to capture,” the military source said.
The details of the capture of Sinbo IB (141), the circumstances of whether the soldiers of the military council were killed or captured and the seizure of the weapons are still under investigation.
KIA has captured a lot of junta council camps in the areas of Myitkyina, Mansi, Tanai, Waimaw, Momauk, areas near Laiza; Somprabum, camps along the Bahmo-Lweje Road and Bahmo-Myitkyina Road.
