SAGAING DIVISION – Some of the villages from Salingyi Township, Yinmabin District are suffering from the lack of fresh water during the summer days and thus, Letpadaung Anti-junta Strike Column reportedly donated water for them on April 28.
The Letpadaung Strike Column assisted with water supply since the lakes and ponds from Nyaung Pin To, Shwe Chan Si and Pho Win Taung villages have dried up and the locals were having difficulties in their daily lives.
Water donation was made at the monastery of Shwe Chan Si Village on April 28 and more than 50 households from Shwe Chan Si Village, where there is a population of about 200, were supplied with fresh water on April 29.
“The weather was extremely hot during the past few months. We are waiting for the rain,” said the leader of the strike column.
A fire-engine can carry 900 gallons and it costs from 100,000 to 150,000 Myanmar kyats depending on the location of the village.
Five members of the Letpadaung Strike Column accompanied while donating and the team members assisted in cooking and donating food to the IDPs and fire victims.
