SAGAING DIVISION – The junta council soldiers set fire to villages in the Nyaung Pin Gyi Village Group for three consecutive days, resulting in significant losses, according to an official from Anyar Pyi Tine Htaung Group.
On Sunday (June 11) at around 9 a.m. and again around 2 p.m., the junta troops set fire to civilians’ houses in Thone Suu Kyaung, Nyaung Pin Gyi Group. The junta council had set fire to villages at around 2:40 p.m., around 9:00 a.m., and around 6:20 a.m. on June 10.
They carried out arson attacks at Nyaung Pin Gyi Village, No. 3 residential ward at 10:20 p.m. on June 9. “The junta council randomly set fire to Pagoda Thone Su, Theindaw, Htan Taw, and No. 3 in Nyaung Pin Gyi Group. They also set fire twice today. The losses must be even greater,” said an official.
Over 10,000 civilians from over ten villages in the Nyaung Pin Gyi Village Group and nearby villages are fleeing to a safe place, and IDPs require provisions.
