SHAN STATE – Pa-O National Liberation Army (PNLA) officially announced that the military situation in Hsihseng Township is complicated and the atrocious junta carried out airstrike attacks, causing civilian casualties, and hence, the use of main and branch roads have been temporarily banned.
Starting from January 22, the fights occurred around the villages of Hsihseng Town, the terrorist junta and its allies have been attacking the Pa-O area with artillery and fighter jets daily and there have been civilians killed in those attacks. For that reason, PNLA announced that the use of roads will be temporarily blocked due to the fact that the current military situation was very complicated.
The roads temporarily banned by PNLA included the Union Highway connecting Hsaik Hkawng to Hsihseng Town, the branch village roads that are connected from around Hsaik Hkawng to Hsihseng on the eastern and western parts of Union Road, and the forest roads connecting Ket Ku and the areas on the western part of Nam Ta Bet creek to the west areas of Hsihseng Town.
The Pa-O National Liberation Army (PNLA) has issued a statement, specially informing not to use these routes to avoid causing unwanted damage during a very complicated military situation.
