SHAN STATE – PNLA has warned the public not to return home to retrieve belongings as battles are ongoing in Hsihseng Town and its nearby villages. They have also restricted civilians from using blocked roads.
Since January 22, battles have been occurring in Hsihseng and nearby villages, with junta soldiers firing heavy artillery shells at the Pa’O Region, resulting in civilian casualties.
However, some civilians have fallen victim to propaganda spread on social media, leading them to return to Hsihseng and retrieve belongings, resulting in casualties as the junta council carried out drone attacks on civilians.
PNLA has emphasized the importance of being aware of fake news and complying with the rules they have implemented.
Furthermore, the military situation is difficult to predict, and PNLA will block the Hsite Khaung – Hsihseng Road, as well as other roads connected to Hsihseng and streets to the west of Nan Tabat Creek. These roads should be avoided by the public to prevent unpredictable casualties and will only reopen when the situation permits.
