SHAN STATE – Pa’O National Liberation Army (PNLA) requested the civilians again on April 2 not to return to Hsihseng Town as there are military forces of both PNLA and junta council army, and in addition, there is also the risk of landmines and remnants of recent war.
PNLA spokesperson Khun Rein Yan said that fightings in the Hsihseng Town continues, and the entire town is in a war zone.
He added, “We also heard that two local residents stepped on a mine while carrying things back from their house. That’s why we are requesting the civilians. It is not yet possible to return to the town. The fascist council troops stationed in the town are still firing with heavy weapons, and there are still many land mines setup by junta army and unexploded weapons.”
Therefore, civilians are requested to monitor and follow the official release statements of PNLA, Khun Rein Yan pleaded.
The PNLA seized Hsihseng end of January, and the terrorist council have been conducting airstrikes, shelling heavy weapons and attacking with ground forces to get back the Hsihseng Town.
