“The Saw Town was already under the control of People’s Defence Forces (PDF).The junta council army could only stationed at the camp on the top of the hill. Now, the battle started again as the newly deployed lieutenant was resuming military activity,” said a Saw resident.
Revolutionary forces of Gangaw District Battalion (3) issued in a statement that a civilian was hit and injured by the military council’s firing weapons.
A resident said that unexploded ammunitions were also scattered in the town from the fascist junta army’s firing small and heavy weapons.
The Gangaw Battalion also reminded the people not to touch those unexploded ammunitions and to inform the District Battalion (3) if found.
In addition, people are also warned not to go through the town and stay in bomb shelters when they hear the gunshots.
