MYANMAR – The Ministry of Defence, the National Unity Government, has been calling for doctors and healthcare workers who are willing to work in the conflict zones.
The NUG has been trying to strengthen healthcare services to the People’s Defence Force members and displaced persons, and thus more staff are needed to fulfill the needs, according to the announcement on May 31.
The healthcare staff are welcome to serve under the Ministry of Defence as medical sergeants.
Doctors (specialists, Postgraduate students), dentists, nurses, pharmacists, traditional medicine specialists, and healthcare staff could apply for the position. If the applicant is a government staff, he should be a participant of CDM or currently in service with NUG’s secret order and must be in good shape. If one is not an in-service doctor, he must not be associated with the junta regime and must be able to travel to the appointed areas such as hospitals, clinics, or battalion under the NUG.
The position would be assigned according to the experience and needs of the revolution. The security and living expenses of the applicants would be taken care by the individual battalion or column under NUG.
