SAGAING DIVISION – The junta council’s aerial strike in Shwebo Township’s Takantha Village on Monday (July 17) evening is reported to have injured one villager and burned and destroyed nine houses.
A Mi-35 military helicopter of the terrorist junta council circled over Takantha Village from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday while releasing attacks.
“A man in his fifties who couldn’t run away because of his health condition was injured in the head. Houses also caught on fire after getting hit,” explained a resident.
In addition, it was reported that the villagers still dare not return to their homes as the junta gunship made two rounds over the village the next morning (July 18) at around 9 a.m.
The junta aerial strike on Takantha Village reportedly happened after a junta column that came out of the No. 8 Training Regiment in Shwebo that also includes Pyu Saw Htee militants clashed against the joint local defense forces near the village on Monday from 11 a.m. till 12 noon.
Said junta column meanwhile is said to have continued towards the junta base at the old city of Hanlin in Wetlet Township.
