MANDALAY DIVISION – It has been reported that at least three women were arrested in Mandalay for participating in the Aung Tha Pyay (1111) protest strike movement.
It is said that these ladies were arrested for wearing Eugenia and posting photos of Aung-Tha-Pyay (Eugenia) strike activities on social media.
Some of the Telegram channels supporting the military council posted photographs of the four women being arrested.
Moreover, some Telegram channels exposed the Facebook accounts and addresses of those involved in the 1111 strike movement and encouraged the military to arrest the protestors.
The 1111 strike movement was held on November 11 in support of Operation 1027 by the Three Brotherhood Alliance in Northern Myanmar and to welcome the acceleration of the resistant movements to re-occupy the cities.
