SAGAING DIVISION – In Taze Township, a joint column of junta council soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee militants killed a man and forcibly took away the belongings of the local residents, the residents said.
On March 19, a terrorist junta council column of more than 200 arrived in Taze Township. They looted the belongings of the local people from Thaketa Village and took them away in cars and bullock carts. In addition, residents said that they also killed a 40-year-old man.
“We heard that they are looting food because they need food for the Pyu Saw Htee led by Wathawa. They are patrolling the villages around the Pyu villages and burning houses,” said a local.
The same junta column also burned down houses in Nyangtha Village on March 20.
On March 18 and 19, they also burned down 33 houses in Myauk Inn Village, 15 houses in Ohthaekone Village and 15 houses in Nyaunglepin Village.
It was also reported that a woman was also killed when they torched Myauk Inn Village on March 18.
Also on March 17, a 57-year-old man was killed and three civilians, including a monk, were injured in an airstrike by the military council on Inn Village in Taze Township.
On February 21, revolutionary forces attacked and captured Kanhtooma Police Station, dealing a huge blow to the junta council. After that, junta soldiers from LIB 11, 361, 708 and Pyu Saw Htee joint column raided the villages in western Taze Township, killing 11 civilians and also burned down 56 houses from nine villages.
