SAGAING DIVISION -The locals said that after the battle, the revolutionary forces captured Kanhtooma Police Station, Tantse Township, and Sagaing Division, junta columned with many forces and dismembered heads, hands, and legs, opened the abdomens of 11 civilians. Then the dead bodies resent back.
It has been reported that on February 21, the revolutionary forces attacked and captured Kanhtooma Police Station and then they burned that station. After that, the junta columned with many reinforcers and brutally killed the abducted civilians.
Those junta columns are named the Balu column and the Nga Ye Min column. Those columns included Junta Light Infantry Battalion 708, no. 11 junta force, and over 200 Ptuthusit united forces.
The killed civilians were
- 70-year-old Mr.Wai ( Father -Mr. Phoe Sit)
He died with a headshot and found six shells. The junta took his money and jewelry. He lived in a displaced camp in the 5th ward of Northern Shweayeyar. Junta killed him on February 24. - 30-year-old Mr.Phoe Ko (Father -Mr Sit Win)
Junta cut his neck and killed him on February 19. He was from Suparkone village. - 45_year_old Mr. San Po (Father – Mr. Kyaw Aye)
He was killed by gunshot on March 1. He was from Ywarthitkone village. - 50-year-old Mr. Win Naing (Father -Mr Phoehtee)
He was from Kantaw village. He was the leader of People Defense Team of the Nganuchaung village group. Junta killed him on February 26. - 52-year-old Mr. Shan
He was from Khanthittaw, a new village, and was the responsible person of the village’s PDT. Junta killed him on February 26. - 40-year-old Mr. Min Han
He was arrested at Kanhtooma Police Station, and the junta killed him by cutting his head, hands, and legs on March 1. - 30-year-old Mr. Swe Lin or Tin Maung Lin
He was imprisoned at Kanhtooma Police Station. Junta cut his head, hands, and legs on March 1. - 25-year-old Mr. Waiyan Het or Toe Gyi from Inpintaing village
- 49-year-old Mr. Nyein Cho from Zeepauk village
- 34-year-old Mr. Zaw Moe Oo from Pantainkone village
- 50-year-old Mr. Htay Aung from Zeepauk village was killed brutally by the junta.
