KAREN STATE – Despite no fighting in Kawkareik Township, the inhuman junta regime used its fighter jets for aerial bombings over the township, according to locals.
A local news source said that two out of the four bombs were landed and exploded that were dropped into San Hpa Lar Village in Kawkareik Township at around 3:30 a.m., on June 6.
The school buildings and some civilians’ houses in the village were damaged by the bombs, but no one was injured, according to the source.
“The shrapnel of the bombs hit the school buildings in San Hpa Lar Village as well as to the side of my house,” said the source.
After the bombing, the school in the village was closed, and the residents are said to be worried.
The bombarded village is located in Karen National Union – KNU’s Brigade – 6’s territory.
