MAGWAY DIVISION: Taung Khin Yan Police Station in Gangaw township, Magway Division was attacked with heavy artillery on the night of May 25, which caused the death of three soldiers and an officer to get wounded, as announced by All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) on May 26.
The responsible person for Information of ABSDF Column (3) said that as Taung Khin Yan Police station is a place where the soldiers stationed and Pyu Saw Htees (militias) frequently pay a visit, it was attacked.
“The heavy artillery was aimed at the police station and ignited. There was the casualty, which was published on the announcement. These days, ABSDF has raised its attack to the junta forces,” he continued.
All Burma Students’ Democratic Front (ABSDF) announced that three soldiers from Taung Khin Yan Police Station were killed and an officer had his leg amputated as he got seriously wounded by hitting the piece of ammunition, referencing the information leaked from junta forces.
The attack was operated by the cooperation of the members of Yaw region camp, No. (12) Battalion, ABSDF Column (3), local PDFs and People Defence Forces and after the attack, they could retreat successfully without any casualty.
On May 24, Kyauk Maw police station, Moemeik township, Northern Shan state was attacked by ABSDF, which caused the death of 4 policemen including the corporal rank policeman and 6 small ammunitions were seized.
