MYANMAR- A police source told the media that three policemen, including Deputy Superintendent Naywun Tun of Taungoo No. 2 Police Station, were shot and killed in Zeyawati Town.
On November 14, in Zeyawati town, Taungoo district, Bago division, 3 policemen were reportedly shot and killed by revolutionary groups.
“Two policemen from Zeyawati also died and one had escaped. The body of Deputy Superintendent Naywun Tun is now in Taungoo No. 2 Military Camp. The obituary says he is 43 years old,” said the police source.
It is learned that the deceased Deputy Superintendent was an officer who treated the accused brutally during interrogation.
In addition, in Rakhine State, Maungdaw Township, the Arakan Army (AA) announced that five junta forces who did not surrender were chased near Kanpyin Tharsi Village, Maungdaw Town. Five of the troops were reportedly killed and some were injured.
On November 15, at around 5:36 a.m., the military troops in Maungdaw Township (3.3 kilometres to the northeast of Kanpyin Tharsi village), who were previously warned by AA to surrender, tried to flee. They were chased and attacked by AA, five were reportedly killed and some were injured.
The Arakan Army has informed the terrorist military forces to surrender and they will continue to attack those who do not surrender.
