MYANMAR – With the intention of creating a medium where creative works of revolutionary artists can be displayed and to be enjoyed by their audiences, ‘Artists Shelter’ page had been introduced on June 7.
It was further mentioned in the page that they intended to create showcases and promote new releases made by these artists who had to run away, with plans for projects such as Music Album, Short Film, Feature Film, Documentary, Book, Exhibition and Film Festival.
As these artists faced challenges on continuing their related art expertise while being away from Myanmar, the above mentioned page is meant to serve as a platform for them to continue their respective art works and projects.
The platform is open to all artists from diverse industries such as music, movie and theatre, literature, poetry, photography and painting.
‘Artists’ Shelter’ further added that there are no restrictions at all on art works created. The artists would be able to create freely and neither limited nor to revolutionary related artworks. Their main intention is for these artists to be able to continue working on and create arts regardless.
The movies and short films such as Guilty as Alive, Stateless and Our Turn were some of the remarkable works presented by those artists.
As Artists’ Shelter would recruit members for upcoming programs, the relevant information will be announced via the Facebook page and the page urged the interested audience to like and share their page.
The poet, Saya Aung Way, added his opinion that founding Artists’ Shelter platform resemble building a fort, promising to provide support and strength as needed.
