BANGKOK, THAILAND – It’s been reported that the anti-dictatorship protest planned to wear black to mark Min Aung Hlaing’s funeral in front of the Myanmar Embassy in Thailand has been cancelled due to political tensions and potential arrests.
The protest was scheduled from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in front of the Myanmar Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand, but was cancelled.
“July 3 is the day the new cabinet will take over. Thailand politics also seems to be getting complicated. There might be arrests and interrogations to both legal and illegal Myanmar immigrants. It’s said that these are why the protest was cancelled,” said Mr. Hein Wai Yan, an anti-dictatorship activist.
