SAGAING DIVISION- According to the locals of Kanpauk Town, a 6-year-old boy was killed and houses were destroyed by a military council army’s airstrikes on the Kanpauk village, Tigyaing, without ongoing fight.
On December 31, at around 2:30 p.m., the junta regime launched an aerial strike, and 500-pound bombs were dropped.
“The military aircrafts are from Mandalay City, Tada U Township air force. There was no ongoing fight on the ground. The shooting was arbitrary without any reason. The bombs dropped were 500-pound bombs and leaving huge pits on the ground as they exploded. The 6-year-old boy Hein Htet Paing was reportedly killed. The body has not been found yet. His mother is crying uncontrollably,” said a villager.
Due to this attack, at least 3 houses were destroyed by fire due to explosions, besides killing the child.
