MAGWAY DIVISION – Four junta soldiers from the junta column that went out to find food at the southern part of Htalin Village in Htilin Township were killed in a mine attack, said Thakhin Zaw of Yaw Revolution Army (YRA) Htilin Force.
The terrorist junta column that came out of Htilin Township with about 70 forces on April 3 around 10 p.m. entered Htalin Village at about 11:00 p.m., camped overnight, and broke into and looted civilian property.
Then, on April 4, at around 7:30 a.m., while returning from Htalin Village to Htilin Town, 12 terrorist soldiers entered the mine field made of large mines and the revolutionary forces detonated the mines, killing four junta soldiers while the remaining eight were seriously injured.
“They came out from Htilin Town at night and left at early morning. The junta troops were attacked with mines on their way back and four junta soldiers died and the others were injured. Htalin Village is just two miles away from Htilin. It can be said to be a place under control of the junta side so the injured were carried away in cars. They arrived back in Htilin yesterday (April 4). But, they reportedly came out again this morning (April 5) to find food,” said Thakhin Zaw of YRA Htilin Force.
The attack was carried out by the allied forcws of Battalion No. 15, 16, 17 of Gangaw District and the comrades of YRA Hteelin Force and the revolutionary forces were able to successfully withdraw without harm.
