SAGAING DIVISION – It was reported that Ms. Su Latt Tin of Kale Town, who was sentenced in prison for 2-year has been sentenced to another 5-year imprisonment under Section 52 (a) of the Counter-Terrorism Law by the junta-controlled kangaroo court, according to people close to the family.
It was said that she was convicted again on July 21 with the allegation of contacting the People’s Defence Force (PDF) and attending PDF related training.
“That was the second case. The first case was Section 505 (a) of the Panel Code and she was sentenced to 2-year in prison. However, she was charged again. She was a trainee who was taking a tailoring course. She did not attend the PDF related training,” said a person close to the family.
On February 3, the atrocious junta council sentenced Ms. Su Latt Tin to 2-year in prison under Section 505 (a) of the Panel Code for her alleged incitement in the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM) campaign.
She was unjustly abducted by the terrorist junta forces after being accused of writing false news on social media to scare the public, while the fascist junta forces were casually checking passers-by in Myo Tha Ward of Kale Town on 14 December 2022.
According to the Association for the Assistance of Political Prisoners (AAPP), there have been 23,980 people abducted and detained by the terrorist junta council across the country, since the military coup in 2021, including 6,924 people who have been sentenced to prison terms.
