“The political prisoners including Mr. Khant Lin Naing were lawlessly slaughtered by the genocidal junta forces on the way to transfer to Tharyarwaddy Prison. The prison apprised their death to the family member by letter. The letters falsely stated that they were killed when junta forces overused force, opening fire to frighten them when the prison vehicle almost overturned on the way, in order to prevent their escape. Those six political prisoners were taken out from the Kyaik Sa Kaw Prison to move to another prison. All of them were political prisoners. They were unjustly imprisoned under Section 50 (c) and 50 (j) of Counter-Terrorism Law and possession of arms. The prison sent the informed letters yesterday (July 7). The family members went to the prison today (July 8),” said the people helping political prisoners.
