SAGAING DIVISION – Htoo Khant Zaw (Amay Thar), an official of broadcasting from People’s Defense Comrade based in Ye-U stated that the junta council burnt down two villages in Tabayin Township, Sagaing Division and they raided into the surrounding villages by shooting guns.
On Sunday (December 17) early morning, after the junta council raided into Aung Chanthar Village and burnt down the village, they again ransacked into Pin Si Village by firing gunshots and have continued burning down the houses currently.
“Today (December 17) morning, junta dogs (junta soldiers) departed from Ma Soe Yein Village and entered Aung Chanthar Village, at the eastern part of Tabayin Township. They destroyed the houses in the village by torching. Then, they raided the surrounding villages by shooting. Currently, they reportedly set fire to the houses in the village. The civilians have fled away to the villages at the western part of Ye-U and the eastern part of Tabayin,” Htoo Khant Zaw (Amay Thar), an official of broadcasting from People’s Defense Comrade based in Ye-U said.
Currently, the civilians from Ma Soe Yein, Aung Thar, Pyawbwe, Aung Chanthar, Ywar Shay, Pin Si and Khun Taung villages at the border of Ye-U and Tabayin townships are said to flee away to the safe places.
Moreover, the junta council reportedly carried Non CDM staff, Pyu Saw Htee (junta-backed militia) and their families, junta police and their families from Tabayin Downtown to Ye-U Town with three dump trucks which were used to transport rations from Ye-U to Tabayin on December 16 evening.
“We have been informed that the junta council have made a list of people who would like to move Ye-U few days ago. We could predict they brought to Ye-U according to the number from the list. We still cannot verify if there are any Non CDMers and Pyu Saw Htee still living in Tabayin,” an official Htoo Khant Zaw elaborated.
