SAGAING DIVISION – It was reported that more than 10,000 residents from over 10 villages of Tabayin Township had been forced to leave their home due to junta’s offensive attacks again in Tabayin Township, according to Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw (Mother’s son), spokesperson of Ye-U based People’s Defense Comrade.
On the morning of August 9, the atrocious junta forces of Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) – 702 and 708 invaded into the villages on the western part of Tabayin Township under cover of light and heavy weapons firing, forcing more than 10,000 of locals of over 10 villages to run away.
At present, more than 5,000 of residents from Nyein Chan, Yin Dway, Let Tee, Hnaw Pin, Bagan, Na Be Hla, Aye Thar Yar (aka) Pyan Kya, Kya Khat and Ma Gyi Zauk villages on the western part of Tabayin Township and on the night of August 8, over 5,000 locals of Inn Tan, Taw Kyaung, Wa Bar, Tha Pyay Thar and Me Thei villages have fled from their lands.
“People were running away because the junta column that carried out offensive attacks on August 8 have conducted offensive attacks again on August 9. The junta dogs (military soldiers) of LIB – 702 and 708 carried out offensive attacks again on the western part of Tabayin Township. The displaced population has reached over 10,000 now,” said Mr. Htoo Khant Zaw.
At present, the terrorist junta column arrived at Aye Thar Yar (aka) Pyan Kya Village and was continuously firing heavy weapons at the surrounding villages.
