KARENNI STATE – Many of the junta forces were killed in the battles in Demoso Township, and their weapons and ammunition were seized by the Revolutionary Forces, according to Karenni military sources.
The terrorist junta that suffered serious set-back in ground battles carried out airstrike attacks on August 10.
“Details will be released by the relevant forces. According to the information and photos we have received, the Karenni Army (KA), Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF), and People’s Defence Force (PDF) jointly attacked the junta columns. The terrorist column left a lot of dead bodies and weapons. Only a few weapons were left after the fighter jets arrived,” said a person close to the Karenni Army.
He continued that the junta’s air forces carried out three aerial bombings with fighter jets from around 2:00 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., on August 10.
“They bombarded the Thea Taung area in Demoso Township. but no one was injured. The fighter jet was hovering again at around 3:30 a.m., on August 11,” he said.
However, the relevant Revolutionary Forces have yet to make any announcements regarding the Demoso battle that broke out on August 10.
The encounters had been ongoing almost every day in the eastern part of Demoso Town after the atrocious junta carried out offensive attacks with three columns there.
The official of Karenni joint forces said that there were at least 300 fascist junta forces in those three columns attacking in the battle on the eastern part of Demoso.
He concluded that the junta council has been attempting to control the Demoso – Hpruso Road, based on the battle in the eastern part of Demoso.
The Karenni Nationalities Defence Force (KNDF) has issued a warning not to use Daw Ngay Khu – Htee Paw So Road, which is close to the current fighting area and will be temporarily closed.
