KARENNI STATE – The junta council carried out airstrikes by dropping two 500-pound bombs and two 100-pound bombs at an IDP camp in Demoso Township on Tuesday (July 4) at around 2 a.m., injuring three IDPs, including one child, as reported by DMO – Local PDF.
“There’s no battle, and they definitely know it’s an IDP camp. One-third of of them are from west of Demoso,” said those who are assisting Karenni IDPs.
One child, aged 2 years and 10 months, and two parents were wounded during this attack, and some tents and a temporary school were destroyed.
After suffering many casualties in ground battles, the junta council has frequently resorted to carrying out airstrikes or firing heavy artillery shells at IDP camps where civilians reside.
