KARENNI STATE- The Karenni National Defense Force (KNDF) issued a statement on Sunday (May 14) that the locals of eastern Demoso (Taneelarle, Dawse, and Dawtangu villages) should not return home or visit home to take back their belongings yet.
The spokesperson of KNDF advised the locals not to return home yet as the junta troops were currently stationed in the villages and has been patrolling and doing military exercises in the region.
“Junta troops are deployed in all those areas, in the villages as well as the old outpost they used to station. They are patrolling the area daily and guarding the routes where locals might be using,” said the PDF spokesperson.
He also mentioned that there are frequent clashes, almost on a daily basis, in Karenni State between the junta forces and PDF forces.
It is about time the locals started farming and sowing for the next season and are facing difficulties as they could not return home or take their belongings such as tractors and farming equipment at home.
