KARENNI STATE – A new school building was reportedly built in the west of Demoso, Karenni State on August 19 to make education accessible to the internally displaced children, as said by Mr. Zeyar Tun, a responsible person of Clean Yangon.
The new school building was responsibly built by Clean Yangon and Job for Kayah.
He said, “We shouldn’t lose track of education. COVID temporarily stopped the learning opportunity of the children which was deteriorated by illegal seizure of power by the group of dictators. Aiming for the safety of the children studying under the roof, a new school building was built and donated.”
At that school for internally displaced children, there are about 100 students from primary to high school and ten teachers are teaching them.
Despite the difficulty for funding to build the school building, it is aimed for the children to study under the roof no matter whatever the weather condition is for their better future.
Clean Yangon is a philanthropic organization which supports the needs of the internally displaced people on behalf of the donors from the country or abroad. There have been eleven school buildings built by Clean Yangon with the help of the donors.
