KARENNI STATE – The terrorist junta forces stationed at Daw Ka Loe Khu Village in the eastern part of Loikaw Township, recklessly launched unprovoked artillery attacks to the villages, forcing residents to run away, according to Ms. Shun Lei of BPDF.
“The junta soldiers launched unprovoked artillery attacks in the eastern part of Loikaw Township, since 8:00 p.m., on May 21. I heard the sound of artillery firing on the morning of May 22. There is no fight there. They were stationed at Daw Ka Loe Khu Village and recklessly fired to the surrounding areas every day,” she said.
She continued that the fascist junta forces had been firing at the places where there may be the camps of People’s Defence Forces (PDF) out of fear, and sometimes they fired for no reason.
“The brutal junta forces and junta-backed Pyu Saw Htee thugs are afraid that the PDF may approach them. That’s why, they had recklessly fired artillery shells to the surrounding areas of their stations. It can conclude that they conduct clearance of the areas by reckless firing. According to the video footage that was seized from a pro-junta Pyu Saw Htee militant, they fired RPGs without a reason to the surrounding area. It’s unruly with weapons,” she explained.
The fierce fights had been ongoing between the Revolutionary Forces and the terrorist junta forces across Karenni State including the eastern part of Demoso Township, and more than 200,000 local people had been forces to leave their homes and sheltered in Internally Displaced People (IDP) camp due to the violent riots of the atrocious junta council, according to a humanitarian worker.
