MAGWAY DIVISION- A judge from new Kanpyo Village, Natmauk Township, was shot and killed at around 10 a.m. last Tuesday (February 13), stated Battalion 903 (Galuda Army Natmauk) from Naypyitaw PDF Military Division Strategy 1.
Judge Mr. Tun Tun Naing, 32 years old was killed at his home.
“He was assigned at Sinpaungwel Court. While he was visiting his family, he got killed. As he fought back with an iron stick, 5 rounds of gunshots were fired, resulting in his death. His family also fought back (when we tried to arrest him),” said Major Aung Din, the company commander of the 903 Battalion.
Judge Tun Tun Naing is currently serving under the Military Council and is wanted (to be arrested) by PDF for corruption. But he resisted and fought back and thus was shot.
“He makes the legal case unjust, and also took bribes. He has been treating the people unfairly and judging unjustly. He is also actively serving under the Military Council.” said the company commander, Major Aung Din.
After Mr. Tun Tun Naing was shot and killed, his cousin (a police officer assigned at Saikaung Village, Natmauk Township) is reportedly investigating his death.
