SHAN STATE – The Ta’ang Women’s Organization (TWO) reported that over 300 houses were burned and destroyed during the battle to capture the terrorist junta council’s infantry 123 base on Namphatka, Kutkai Township, northern Shan State.
Battles broke out between the junta infantry battalion 123 based in Namphatka and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) starting December 29, 2023, and the junta council used heavy artillery and aerial strikes during the battle, causing over 300 houses, school buildings, and religious buildings to be burnt down.
