An announcement was made today that the passport issuing offices in Nay Pyi Taw, Myitkyina, Hakha, Loikaw, Magway, Mandalay, Monywa, Taunggyi, Keng Tong, Lashio, Tachilek, Pha An, Myawati, Mawlamyine, Dawei, Kawthaung, Pathein, Sittwe, and Bago cities are carrying out the services according to the specified population and on the office’s opening days every day.
At the Yangon Passport Issuing Office, people who want to get a passport quickly can connect with brokers and do it quickly. It has been learned that these brokers are working in connection with the police inside the office and selling up to 32,00,000 kyat per passport.
“We have to wait for 10 days. We have to pass the board. We removed the one posted in front of us and replaced it with information about the person who pays. It is 32 lakh. We are not taking it all. We have to pay step by step. Now we have to wait 6 months even to get a QR code. If you are not in a hurry, wait. If you need to, there is a fast way,” said the broker of the passport agency.
The military council announced that it will continue to be issued according to the number of permits and the previously established process because they know that there are concerns about obtaining passports due to rumors about the issuance of passports. An announcement has been made that people who spread rumors and ask for exorbitant amounts of money and the brokers will be identified and actions will be taken.
