MYANMAR – Acting President of the National Unity Government (NUG), Duwa Lashi La, attended and supported the People’s Defence Forces (PDF) officers’ graduation ceremony, the Acting President announced on June 20.
The date and location of the graduation ceremony was not mentioned, but it was said to be held somewhere in the liberated area, and the photos of the Acting President in attendance were posted.
It was mentioned that the People’s Defence Forces across the country participated in the graduation ceremony held in a liberated area.
Photos of the Acting President wearing PDF uniform and meeting the Defence Forces were also posted on his Facebook page on June 18.
“The National Unity Government (NUG) is working hard to establish a new Myanmar State that includes ethnic armed organisations, civilian societies, political parties, People’s leaders in anti-dictatorship movement and Generation Z youths,” the Acting President said in a message to the people on June 18.
Members of NUG, including the Acting President, visiting PDF camps and frontline battlegrounds have been announced along with photographic records before. In addition, the Acting President recently visited and encouraged the people in liberated area affected by the Cyclone.
