NAYPYITAW – It was said at a press conference on the fundraising program of the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government held on July 18 that in order to attack Nay Pyi Taw, the base of terrorist junta council, the fifth “Dancing with the Ladies” project will start.
Just as the Union Minister of Defense, Mr. Yee Mon announced that all the roads will lead to Nay Pyi Taw, this project is also named “To encircle Nay Pyi Taw, Let’s dance with the ladies,” said one of the leaders of the project. He also said that the project will be planned and carried out in order to equip all the People’s Defence Forces around Nay Pyi Taw with heavy weapons in order to demolish the terrorist military junta council’s battalions in Nay Pyi Taw.
One billion Kyats has been earmarked for the project and the project period is set from July 23 to August 15.
The arming of heavy artillery by the Ministry of Defense of the National Unity Government happened at the same time that “Dancing with the Ladies” project was implemented and Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Mr. Naing Htoo Aung said that the installation of heavy weapons has been carried out to a certain extent through this program.
Later, the use of heavy weapons became important in battles to occupy bases and conventional battles. Mr. Naing Htoo Aung said that because of this, the funds obtained from the “Dancing with the Ladies” project are also consistent with the NUG’s strategy of arming. Since the use of heavy weapons becomes important in these battles, it is a project that is beneficial to the revolution to some extent and is encouraging.
It is reported that nearly two million US dollars were raised from the last four projects of “Dancing with the Ladies”, and they were able to equip the revolutionary groups with heavy weapons, according to the titles of the projects.
