MYANMAR – During the two years period of the People’s Resistance War, military threat could reach Nay Pyi Taw where the junta’s council bases, said Acting President Duwa Lashi La of the National Unity Government.
The Acting President said so in his speech on the road map of the country which was delivered on September 7, the day of the two year anniversary of the People’s Resistance War against the junta regime.
The Acting President said that the members of revolutionary forces are able to threaten the security of even the enemy junta groups in Nay Pyi Taw which they formerly believed to be impenetrable.
Moreover, the junta forces have been failing in military operations, politics, economics, diplomatic relations and every sector. The Spring Revolution battle, in turn, is approaching victory, said the acting president of NUG.
The spokesperson of the junta council, General Zaw Min Tun admitted that battles had broken out near Nay Pyi Taw but mocked the slogan “All the roads to Nay Pyi Taw” at the 22nd Press Conference by the junta council on August 22.
On the report of the two year anniversary of the People’s Resistance War by NUG, it was announced that there had been nearly 9,900 battles that broke out throughout the country where about 30,000 of the junta soldiers died.
In the whole country, there are 293 battalions of the People’s Defence Forces and 68 battalions are still under investigation to be recognised as PDF battalions, as mentioned on the anniversary report by NUG.
