NAYPYITAW: A policeman from Napyitaw, the administrative capital of the junta’s army reportedly joined the civil disobedience movement with a rifle, as said by a responsible person of No. (11) Battalion, Mingin, People Defence Force.
“He has been joining the civil disobedience movement for about a month, but we have recently announced that. He himself joined the CDM movement. He was known to have been out of the police force since long ago,” as continued by the responsible person in PDF.
The name and the identification number were not mentioned, but he was known to be from Naypyitaw-based No. 17 Police Regime, and he was assigned to perform the duty in Chin State while he joined the CDM with a rifle, two cartridges, and some bullets on July 17 after contacting with the PDFs.
A policeman who joined the CDM with a gun was said to have been kept in a safe place by the National Unity Government. He was awarded three million and three hundred thousand Myanmar Kyats, as announced by the Ministry of defence, NUG.
This is the first time a policeman joined the CDM, contacting Mingin PDF, and he was warmly welcomed for joining with the civilians, as said by the responsible person of Mingin PDF.
NUG announced that the members of the junta’s armed forces who want to join with the civilians and who want to work as informers could contact the nearest People Defense Forces and the telegram channel of People Embrace.
Since the coup, over two hundred and one thousand staff have joined the CDM around the country. Among them, there are about ten thousand policemen and soldiers, as said by the responsible person at NUG.
