KARENNI STATE – Two women fleeing who were retrieving their belongings at home were hit by the large weapon fired by the junta council and one seriously injured in Dornyaekhu Village, Hpruso Town on October 31, according to locals.
“Yes, two women were fired. A woman’s leg was seriously injured and it will take months to recover. Another woman was just slightly injured,” said a local.
About four rounds of ammunition exploded, and a female refugee was hit in the abdomen and leg, while the other was slightly hit in the hand. One person who is seriously injured is currently receiving medical treatment.
The junta council troops, which had marched from Hpruso town towards Demoso town, are currently stationed in Dornyaeku village and are targeting the villages and firing heavy weapons.
There was a clash between the junta council and the revolutionary joint forces and the junta side fired aimlessly with heavy weapons near Dornyaekhu Village, Hpruso town in the early morning of October 31.
Currently, the Karenni National Defense Force has issued a notice not to use the road as the junta council troops are patrolling along the road between Htiaposo and Dornyaekhu.
