NORTHERN SHAN STATE- TNLA (Ta’ang National Liberation Army) announced on April 29 that a woman got injured and two houses were damaged when the military council fired heavy weapons at Thonesal Village, Naung Cho Township.
It was reported that the military council troops stationed in Ummati and Tambai villages opened heavy weapon fire thrice on Thone Sal village on April 27, and another three times, on April 28, a total of 6 times.
A 60-year-old woman was hit in the face and hand and 2 houses were reportedly damaged due to these attacks.
The spokesperson of TNLA said that there has been no recent ground fighting in Naung Cho Township, but the use of aircraft and heavy weapons attacks on the villages is a violation of human rights.
Currently, in Lashio, Muse, Kyauk Mae and Naung Cho towns, the military council army has been reinforcing its troops and military equipment, as well as conducting security- checks on tourists and locals more strictly, as stated by TNLA.
