MYANMAR – The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners (AAPP) reported that a total of 4,043 people had been slaughtered by the atrocious junta forces across Myanmar, after over two years of the bloody coup d’état in Myanmar.
It has been reported that a total of 24,694 people have been abducted, 19,857 are currently in detention, and 7,302 of them have been sentenced, according to the data compiled by AAPP from February 1, 2021, to September 5, 2023.
Of those convicted, a total of 103 death row prisoners were sentenced to death in connection with the Spring Revolution and are being detained in prison. A total of 119 people had been sentenced in absentia, including 43 people sentenced to death. It brings the total to 146 people who have been lawlessly sentenced to death.
Currently, a total of 4,837 people have been released, including 24 people on bail. The reported figures were compiled by AAPP within their range, and the actual casualties are likely to be higher. It was said that if more data is collected, it will be added.
