MYANMAR – According to Central Bank news sources, the Terrorist War Council is using 20,000 banknotes in the payment of employee salaries today (August 31st), and the payment of tenders, including roads, bridges, and buildings related to the Ministries, will be paid in 20,000 banknotes by the War Council soon.
“Today, the salaries of the employees include one 20,000 note, and some have two. Not all of them are paid in 20,000 notes. They pay a mixture of 10,000, 5,000, and 20,000. They do not pay the whole salary in 20,000 notes. Most of the employees’ salaries have at least one 20,000 MMK note,” said the news source.
In addition, for the Ministry building tenders called by the Junta Council, including road and bridge construction tenders, payment will be made mainly with twenty thousand notes.
“For government tenders in the coming second quarter, they will pay 20,000 notes in installments. Gradually, 20,000 notes will spread into the financial market,” said a source in Ney Pyi Taw.
On July 31st, the Terrorist War Council was using the 20,000 notes to commemorate the completion of the Marawijaya statue and the 1 year anniversary of the white elephant.
