MAGWAY DIVISION – According to people close to a Pakokku LPDF (Local People’s Defence Force), the camp near Kyauk Phu Village had been raided and five PDF members were reportedly killed.
On October 10, at around 5:00 a.m., more than 200 military troops raided the Tartay Local PDF camp.
“The LPDF camp was raided this morning (October 10) by a junta column coming towards Kai Village. The current situation is still unclear and the junta column is still stationing there,” answered a member of the LPDF to the media.
“Five members of the Tartay LPDF in their 20s were killed, some of the weapons carried by those comrades were confiscated by junta troops (although the exact number of weapons and artilleries lost is still under verification) and the camp was also destroyed,” he said.
About 1,000 residents of Kyauk Phu Htanpinchaung and Ywartharaye Villages have been fleeing, and the junta convoy reportedly left Kyauk Phu Village towards Yesagyo at noon on October 10.
Telegram channels supporting the military council reported that a PDF camp in Pakokku Township was raided on October 10 morning and the bodies of soldiers and four weapons were seized.
On August 3, a frontline camp of the Pakokku District Battalion-13 in Byin Village was raided, and a total of seventy million kyats worth of properties (equipment and buildings)were reportedly damaged.
