MAGWAY DIVISION – The frontline camp of Pakokku District PDF battalion # 13 in Byin Village, Pakokku Township was raided by the junta force and items that worth 7 million Myanmar Kyats were lost, according to battalion # 13.
The junta force of about 70 soldiers were said to have come from Kyathto junta police station to Byin Village and penetrated the PDF camp at over 6:00 a.m. on Thursday (August 3).
“The junta force burnt down Phalano Village and entered Kyathto Village. After that they came to us. We waited for them on the way they might come but we couldn’t see their column so that we returned to our camp and found out that our camp has been penetrated,” said captain Khayay from Pakokku District PDF battalion 13.
The PDF members at the camp could escape although the junta soldiers opened fire while raiding the camp.
It was said that 13 motorcycles, rations, three improvised guns, some ammunition and improvised mines have been captured by the junta soldiers.
After that, the junta soldiers burnt down the motorcycles and the camp and they abducted two women and five men to make them carry their items and released them on Thursday evening (August 3).
In addition, more than 30 houses were burnt down and one woman was injured as the junta soldiers invaded Phalano Village on July 12.
