TANINTHARYI DIVISION – An official from Myeik District Battalion 1 said that four junta forces were killed in the attack on the terrorist junta forces stationed near the bridge in Palauk Town of Palaw Township.
Joint revolutionary forces attacked the security gate near the bridge where around 30 junta forces were stationed on April 16 around 12:50 p.m.
During the clash, there was an intense exchange of fire using small and heavy weapons where four junta terrorists were killed and many more were injured.
As more junta reinforcements arrived at the scene of the battle, the revolutionary forces fell back at around 2 p.m. after setting fire to the house of Su Kan, the administration officer of the west bank of Palauk, where junta forces often gather, without any harm.
“Our comrades personally witnessed four of them (junta forces) die. Locals said there were around seven casualties,” said the official from Myeik District Battalion 1.
The attack was carried out by People’s Defence Force (Palaw), Myeik District Battalion 1, Palaw Column 1 and allied revolutionary joint forces.
Myeik District Battalion 1 and allied revolutionary forces have been increasing attacks on the junta subordinates and Pyu Saw Htee militia in Palaw Township and the official of Battalion 1 requested the people to pay attention to the military updates and comply with the statements of the Myeik District Battalion 1 and allied revolutionary forces.
