TANINTHARYI DIVISION – According to the locals, the junta council dropped grenades by drone onto Kyaung Neint Village in Palaw Township, Myeik District, Tanintharyi Division, at around 9 a.m. on May 31.
“One grenade landed on a shop that sells cold drinks and salads. There were no casualties of people as the shop was not open at the time. The junta council dropped six grenades. The houses were not damaged as the grenades landed on the roads,” said a local.
The information officer of Myeik District Battalion 1 mentioned that the junta council attacked a place which is not a military target and not during a battle. “We can see clearly their lack of discipline, contrary to their claims of being a disciplined organization, through their atrocious actions,” said the information officer.
The local defence forces issued a warning to the civilians to be cautious of military and security as the junta council had declared martial law in Palaw Township and there are frequent battles between the junta council forces and the alliance of revolutionary forces in the township.
According to the locals, the brutal junta forces also torched a house and pillaged two motorcycles, in Nanpayoke Village, Palaw Township, at around 11 a.m. on May 31.
It was known that there was a confrontation between the fascist junta troops and the local revolutionary forces in Nanpayoke Village, at 3 p.m. on May 30.
The information officer of Myeik District Battalion 1 said, “The locals said that the junta council forces that commited the crime, wore the uniforms with a badge showing three arrows in crossing. That badge is the badge of the military advanced training school. No. 12 military advanced training school is located in Palauk.”
It was reported that People’s Defence Forces blasted two military vehicles that left from military advanced training school, based in Palauk, Palaw Township, near Nanpayoke Village, on May 24, and at least 15 junta council troops were said to be injured.
