SAGAING DIVISION – A junta column that arrived in Pale Township has looted rice and household items intended for the provision of two Pyu Saw Htee Villages.
On September 9, this junta column conducted raids on Nwe Shouk, Kyauk Phyar Kan, Ingyin Su, Min Tai Pin, Hnaw Yoe, and Zapa Sae Villages in Pale Township, seizing rice, provisions, and valuable items belonging to civilians, according to local sources.
The junta council’s troops even pillaged items from monasteries. On September 17, at approximately 12 p.m., they also took rice and provisions from Kin Won Monastery in Min Tai Pin Village, transporting them to the Pyu camps using carts.
“The junta soldiers looted items from both the monastery and the possessions of civilians using around 15 carts. Each cart carried at least five to seven bags of rice. They seized all items and provisions,” stated an official from the Pale Public Administrative Body.
These provisions were meant for two Pyu Saw Htee Villages in Pale Township, he added. LDF comrades also counterattacked the junta column that was engaged in plundering provisions, resulting in casualties on the junta side.
Due to the actions of this junta column, many villagers have fled their homes, and neighboring villages are providing medical treatment to those affected. These junta troops from the northwest headquarters have been conducting continuous raids on Pale Township since September 9, after previously raiding Salingyi Township by river.
