KARENNI STATE – It was announced on Tuesday (September 5) that a member of the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force-KNDF, Battalion 6 had fallen during the battle to take over the junta camp in Pufa Village, Demoso Township.
The KNDF member was killed in combat against the junta council on the morning of September 2, according to the statement.
“KNDF reportedly seized the junta camp and confiscated a lot of weapons. But I feel sad every time I receive or read the news about my comrades falling during battles like this. I salute all the comrades who are actively participating in the revolution,” said a resident of Demoso Township.
The soldier, who died in the battle, was recognized as a martyr hero and the funeral was held by his KNDF Battalion 6 comrades somewhere in Karenni State.
KNDF Battalion 6 will continue to fight in the stead of the fallen comrade and feel sorry for the loss of his family members, as mentioned in the statement.
It is reported that more than thirty junta troops including the officers were killed in the attack made by the Karenni Revolution Alliance on the junta camps at Thay Sule Village and Pufa Village, on September 2.
Fifteen various small arms, two 60 mm launchers, one RPG-7, A (carp tail) rifle, and related ammunition, communication devices, and personal belongings were reportedly confiscated by the revolutionary forces.
