BAGO DIVISION – Tin Htwe, the administration officer for Nyaungpininn Village in Paukkhaung Township and his son Kyaw Thu Soe, a former sergeant in the junta army, died after getting shot, said the information officer of Pyay District People’s Defence Force (PPDF) Battalion 3601.
On April 2 around 8 p.m., PPDF Battalion 3601 Company 4 – Pyitawwin Team and Company 5 – Nway Oo Team captured Administration Officer Tin Htwe and his son, Sergeant Kyaw Thu Soe, from their home in Nyaungpininn Village, Nyaungpininn Village Tract, for questioning but they tried to escape by crashing the motorcycle at Thayetchaung Road to the east of the dam in Thaphankine Village. As a result, the revolutionary forces opened fire on them and both were killed.
The dead administration officer and his son were said to have collected young people to be conscripted by the junta council and gave information to the junta council that resulted in a small camp of the revolutionary forces getting raided. Moreover, the son, a former junta sergeant, was said to be in the process of rejoining the army after contacting with Major Yu Naung from Defense Industry 19.
A citizenship scrutiny card, a military veteran registration, a motorcycle and two mobile phones with records of contacting members of the terrorist junta council were said to have been confiscated from the two of them.
The information officer of PPDF Battalion 3601 informed that the People’s Defence Forces are taking decisive actions on the pillars of the terrorist junta council such as administration officers, hundred households chiefs, ten households chiefs, general administration clerks, Pyu Saw Htee militants and informants.
