MAGWAY DIVISION – Villagers from more than 15 villages of Pauk Township, who have been fleeing the battles for eight days, are in need of medical, shelter and ration supplies, according to the locals.
The junta council column that has been launching offensive attacks against Pauk Township since October 17 reportedly continued to raid the villages for eight days and civilians from 15 villages were forced to flee and humanitarian assistance is needed.
Currently, the refugees are said to be from Kyundine, Gepininn, Dattaw, Wuntin, Zaungsharpin, Minkine, Kyawnyar, Yekhar, Thayetkan, Makyikone, Ima, Kyauktaingkhin, Kanthit, Tegyi and Taunglone villages in Pauk Township.
“Rations, medicine and shelters are necessary as it’s been long since they fled. Medical supplies and humanitarian aid are very much needed as it rained a lot these days,” said a local resident.
