KARENNI STATE – Three housings from a village located at the western part of Hpruso Township were reportedly destroyed due to the junta council’s airstrike, according to the report of an officer from the Union of Karenni State Youth (UKSY).
At midnight on June 21 and in the early morning of June 22, the junta’s air force launched three aerial bombings by fighter jets without valid reasons and this caused damages to civilian housings although there were no casualties.
As civilians were able to flee in time, no fatalities and injuries were experienced but there were devastations of some civilian homes. Due to safety and security reasons, the name of the village cannot be disclosed, stated the officer from UKSY.
With ongoing consecutive fights and intense military situation within Karenni State, civilians, villages, housings, and areas where IDP members are located, have been constantly targeted by junta fighter jets and junta shellings, according to local people.
