CHIN STATE – In Falam Township of Chin State, junta artillery strikes killed 105 year old Ms. Ram Tlung and injured her daughter.
Junta infantry 268 based in Falam fired heavy artillery at around 2 a.m. on November 27. One of the shells landed on a house in Sizamwal Village, killing Ms. Ram Tlung and also critically wounding her 65 year old daughter, Pi Zo Htwe.
“The artillery fired from the junta hill after 1 a.m. this morning (November 27) landed in our village, on the house of the grandmother who passed away. She was killed on the spot with her legs disembodied. Her daughter also received a huge wound in the stomach and thighs. She has been sent to Falam Hospital. We ask that you pray for her recovery,” said a resident.
Previously on March 18, 60 year old Mr. Tilkyeoh, also a resident of Sizamwal Village, was killed after stepping on a landmine planted near the village by the junta council. Sizamwal Village, located on the Falam-Kalay Road is just around two miles from Falam City.
